Got Questions?

  • Tea Ami is the vision of bringing an ancient calming practice to an anxious modern generation. Our generation faces many challenges that make mindfulness more important than ever. We are constantly bombarded with information and distractions, which can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety. Mindfulness can help us navigate these challenges by teaching us how to be present, and manage our thoughts and emotions.

Many of us have downloaded meditation apps but these apps don’t stick. However, through the physical component of brewing tea while being mindful you are able to focus better and create a habit that sticks.

  • Historically, in the Tang and Song dynasties, tea was used as a kind of drinkable postcard for those in the “tea friends” community to maintain their relationship as tea friends and to let the tea friend taste the unique local teas from where they are traveling. Tea was presented as a gift and friends in this community often invited each other to have a brew together.

Our version of a tea friend is someone who you can connect with, through your appreciation of tea.

  • Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, our logo is intentionally shaped in the form of an imperfect object. This free-flowing shape relates to one’s journey through life: never linear, never perfect. Beauty is found in imperfection.
